Are you a strategic procurement professional who looks beyond cost alone? Do you enjoy building long-term supplier partnerships, collaborating with engineering teams, and driving continuous improvements across an international supply chain? If so, this opportunity could be your next career move.
On behalf of an international manufacturing organisation, we are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to strengthen and further develop its strategic procurement activities.
As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and continuously improving the organisation's international supply chain. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and senior management, you will ensure that sourcing decisions contribute to product quality, innovation, operational excellence and long-term business success.
Rather than focusing solely on purchasing activities, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while maintaining strong supplier relationships and mitigating supply chain risks. You will lead supplier negotiations, manage commercial agreements and identify opportunities to improve quality, delivery performance and cost efficiency. In collaboration with Engineering, you will contribute to New Product Development projects by selecting suppliers that support manufacturability, innovation and sustainable growth. You will also monitor supplier performance, initiate improvement programmes and take ownership when challenges arise, ensuring that structural solutions are implemented rather than temporary fixes.
The role offers a unique combination of strategic procurement, technical collaboration and international stakeholder management, providing you with the opportunity to make a direct impact on both the organisation's supply chain and its future growth.
Your Scope of Responsibility
You will be responsible for managing a technical sourcing portfolio with an annual spend of approximately €10 to €12.5 million across a range of technical categories, including metal components, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electromechanical components and industrial assemblies.
Our client is an internationally operating manufacturing organisation specialising in the design and production of highly engineered technical systems for a global niche market. Combining advanced engineering expertise with international production facilities, the company delivers innovative solutions to customers worldwide.
The organisation is characterised by short communication lines, a collaborative culture and a strong focus on innovation, quality and continuous improvement.
